Recommended Fishing Guides

While Minnow Tackle Shop does not provide guided trips we do recommend the best guides in New Brunswick tailored toward the trip of your dreams. The fishing in New Brunswick has gained National and International exposure and over the past few years we have seen an increase of anglers from all walks of life come to NB to experience our diverse and competitive angling possibilities. The Saint John River is truly an amazing fishery which allows many anglers to target multiple species such as Musky, Striped Bass, Smallmouth Bass and Sturgeon to name a few. We have a World Class fishery here in New Brunswick and by working together we can promote New Brunswick’s most valuable natural resource.

A strong focus of our services is teaching. Whether you are brand new to the sport or a seasoned veteran who wants to learn the latest tricks, tips, and behaviors of the target species, we can help. Learning to use the right equipment the proper way not only makes for better casting; it keeps your body in top shape and avoids fatigue. Teaching anglers the best handling and release practices based on the latest science and understanding how to read the signs of stress in all species is also very important to us.

Hi my name is Pierre-Olivier Blais, I'm 24 years old and I was born in Trois-Riviere Quebec. I started my fishing journey at a very young age. My father transferred me the passion for fishing at around the age of 3. Ever since then, I've been all about fishing. Around the age of 7, we moved from Quebec to Vancouver Island B-C. Leaving the northern pike and walleye behind, I was now in one of the best places for salmon. Fishing was no longer a passion it was a way of life. I spent my days with my dad fishing the Campbell River for salmon and ocean fishing for sharks or anything that was willing to bite. After 8 years of paradise, we had to move back to the east coast. When I first moved to New-Brunswick, there wasn't a doubt in my mind I was going to miss salmon fishing in those crystal clear waters. To my surprise, I was quick to realize that N.B. had an incredible water system with a fishery that would force me to set new challenges. I quickly fell in love with what the east coast had to offer, fishing bass, pickerel, stripers and muskies on the daily. I then decided to start my own company, Clutch_Angling Fishing Guide Services and became even more dedicated to sharing my passion with others teaching them how to target and handle these fish properly. The rest is History!
